January 27 2006:
From My Hideaway

This is Coxes Lock Mill in Addlestone, shot from a nearby outbuilding , both of which have featured before in my PAD.

Photoshop:
Cropped and Resized

Being Friday, I did an SP in said outbuilding. This time I used the Channel Mixer for the monochrome finish, as I’m told that’s what the pros use!

This time last year I uploaded :-

How long did you hide there? You back must ache now.
But this was worth it! Great angle!

Love the frame the building makes. Striking contrast with the warm lighting on the scene. And the SP is great and well done b/w conversion. You look like you're about to get in trouble. :)

Wonderful composition, I love that black shape. The light is great too. V

Unusual and well carried out comp Ray..
It may be friday and a couple of beers later but the shadow to me looks like a black panther or cat's head and forlegs!?!..
Hmm maybe I should put the kettle on...

Great shot Ray - the jagged "frame" is very striking
Sharon Rogers27-Jan-2006 22:01
oo very lurker like... the figure really adds to it of course!
Guest 27-Jan-2006 21:57
Oooo dramatic. Love the inclusion/placement of that figure.

We'll keep an eye out for you next time we walk along there!

I would have never thought of shooting it this way. Unusual frame and well done.

This is simply outstanding. The brilliant point of view, the shadow and light in front and the light on the building in the back. And someone must have put the person at exactly the right place within the right moment!!! voted

I think that person may have been startled had he/she noticed you down there :>)
Interesting SP, Ray.

Is there a reward out for your capture?

...I could use a few spare Euros.

Now this is an unusual angle! :-)

Looks as if you shot this from a CAVE (but then an outhouse could maybe be construed as a cave). love the contrast between the rough, irregular "cave" shape and the traditional mill building. Almost as if you are looking forward in time!
