Got a phone call at 6.45 tonight “Would I fancy going to the theatre – my friend can’t make it”. Hmm, I was thinking of seeing the England - Croatia game, but then I’m told Samantha Janus is playing Emma in Harold Pinter’s Betrayal. The idea then seems so much more enticing! And I haven’t been to see a stage play for ages, so why not? So I eat, showered, and drove into town within the hour!

In the event, it was a rather dismal affair, and I gather England’s match was much better entertainment, especially as we won 4-2.

Anyway, here are Samantha Janus and Antony Byrne on stage.

Betrayal--appropriate name for the script. It pretty much betrays the idea of entertainment. Directors love it---patrons don't.

Oh, don't you HATE when that happens? (I hope you taped that game for later.) Still, you did get to shoot this photo for your PAD. It's intriguing, and I want to know what they are saying, or arguing about. The purpley lighting is great boucing off the floor!
