Went over to visit my friends in Tongham today, but they didn’t tell me I’d be dipping a paintbrush in a pot of blue paint most of the evening! But it’s all in a good cause; the local youth club are soon to put on a production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and all traces of last year’s “Grease” had to be painted out!

The village hall is quite ornate outside, but very basic inside. Rather than spend many tens of thousands of pounds updating it, it may be replaced so its future is uncertain.
