April 15 2004:
Discarded

Westfield, Woking

Just an example of what is available to photograph in our neighbourhoods. I drive past this spot on a regular basis, but I didn’t notice this withdrawn implement until last week. This is at Loampits Farm, Westfield, not far out of town.

Nicely framed Ray.

I like the way you enhanced the mood with the sepia. So much character in this old equipment. I bet it could tell some stories.

very nice Ray. There's tons of this around where I live too. I've been planning on stopping "one day" but I think you have inspired me!

An example of how important it is to keep our eyes open, eh? Wonderful! I love the sepia effect here.

From the thumbnail I thought it was a civil war canon (I need my eyes checked, I'm thinking). Love the image and the colors you have used. Nice

Oh geez, that's interesting. This stuff is really in your neighbourhood? I usually
have to drive a couple of hundred miles up north to catch stuff like this (and I
do from time to time). But it would certainly be easier if it was in my own
neighbourhood so I could visit such things more frequently under a variety
of different lighting conditions. In any event, nice shot.

Glad you kept your camera eyes open when passing this beauty. It was worth it, right? It looks like something out of a movie! Great idea with the sepia tone too.

What a great looking image. It's amazing what can be found around us if only we would take the time to notice.
