My Denon hi-fi is still away at the repair shop but today my brother Martin came over with his spare, incidentally an identical model which he bought for a temporary flat that was supplied to him for a few months between the firm's moving and his retiring. So I can now listen to my beloved Alison Krauss again, as well as all the other artists I have supported with my wallet over the years.
Some of these CD's aren't played as often as they should, as those in favour are kept out by or in the CD player whilst others are detained, without trial, in my cabinet.
I was never brought up on a diet of films or novels, and my cupboard is virtually bare in those departments, but music I will cherish forever.
How many of these do you recognise?
