January 24 2004:
Spoilt for Choice

My Denon hi-fi is still away at the repair shop but today my brother Martin came over with his spare, incidentally an identical model which he bought for a temporary flat that was supplied to him for a few months between the firm's moving and his retiring. So I can now listen to my beloved Alison Krauss again, as well as all the other artists I have supported with my wallet over the years.

Some of these CD's aren't played as often as they should, as those in favour are kept out by or in the CD player whilst others are detained, without trial, in my cabinet.
I was never brought up on a diet of films or novels, and my cupboard is virtually bare in those departments, but music I will cherish forever.

How many of these do you recognise?

What an awsome collection. Is that the Allison Krauss album with the song: "When you say nothing at all"? Love that song.

Fine idea

West Side Story, So and Graceland. This is a neat idea. I will say I have been thinking of photographing my CDs. I'll have to think of a different "pose." And then, which ones?

Great shot. Looks like the only one I have is the "O' Brother" CD.

Great idea and makes a neat collage as well! I like your choice in sounds too! The Enya is one of my favorites! And of course West Side Story...who COULDN'T love that. I have the DVD of that one though. Hope your Denon is repaired soon.

Wow, Ray I have MANY of these. I have the O Brother, Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, Enya, James Taylor, a different Alison Krause, but I have one...oh, and the Paul Simon too!! And the Norah jones, but I leave that at work, as my boss loves it.
