Otherwise known as the 'Watercress Line' this is my local heritage steam railway which extends from Alton (with a connection to the national network) to Alresford ten miles away.
In the old days, this route extended to Winchester and the whole line closed in 1973. The remaining ten-mile section was opened as a heritage railway in stages between 1977 and 1985.
