30Jan06alt Is There Room For Me - 9956

Connecticut

Photo a Day, Day 306 alt...If anyone is good with bird types I would love to know what the ones at the feeder are... I think the one is a sparrow (or perhaps a female purple or house finch) but have no idea on the other two - I think they are the same. And of course that is a chickadee flying in

OK, Tom is right, thanks Tom.
Bur they do look like our UK Greenfinches, and the UK Goldfinches are very different. :) I'll snap a few this year.

These are Greenfinches, Goldfinches have a lot more yellow and black. We get about 20 at a time in the spring!

They are really neat looking, and like the one in flight and looks like he is getting ready to land

Gayle's correct CJ, they are American Goldfinch in winter apparel :)

The goldfinches, I think, are in their winter dress. They'll just show a little yellow and be a very muted olive green.

I believe chickadee (of course), sparrow, and goldfinches.
