Photo a Day, Day 191...Loved the textures, colors and shallow depth of field on this... Actually spent a bit of time walking around taking some shots today since the leaves are finally starting to turn/fall in various patches. All the shots from today were pretty much taken in two different places. This one and some others I've placed in the Fall in New England gallery are at Gurdon Bill's Station & General Store. This old rusted ring was attached to a rock in the rock wall between the Station and the General Store - seen in the thumbnail to the right.
I also took several shots around an old building - 712 Colonel Ledyard Highway. I'm not sure of the significance of this building in the area but appears to be quite old and is now recently roofless... There were only a couple leaves which have turned at this site and so I did them up in a sepia and put them in a new gallery I named B/W - Does sepia count as B/W?? Don't know why but I prefer just the touch of color... B/W conversion was done using a Channel Mixer adjustment layer set to monotone and then the touch of color was put back using a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer set to colorize.
