Photo a Day, Day 121...We picked 6-7 quarts of these berries this evening... Wine Berries were introduced to the area from Asia and are similar to raspberries except they are smaller, juicier, have softer seeds, and their bramble bushes have softer thorns - they actually look fuzzy with thousands of thin thorns all up and down the stems... hmmm perhaps a PAD subject for tomorrow! They also do not last as long as raspberries. They pretty much have to be used within 24 hrs of picking so we have managed to make 2 batches of jam so far tonight and thinking of making a pie with the rest...
