Unexpected Archway

I really like this archway, the design reminded me of a
simpler one I have at home along the side of our house.
Taken at Miradoiro Do Pico Longo

My deepest thanks to everyone...you folks are just SO great!!!:-)
John, this was taken in Miradorio Do Pico Longo...I've asked, read, Googled, but can't
find any info about this structure. (really wanted to find out the background myself)
I must add, that the view from there was another that boggles the mind, just incredible.

What an interesting, yet strange construction. It looks as though it's been there for years, yet hasn't a trace of vegetation climbing those pillars. Did you find out the story behind it, Carol? John

Simple and commands ones attention. Neat with the mountains in the background.

This is nt so unexpected in architecture actually...It's like a sculpture for the nature from which humans can enter..:)
Great shot!

The archway and mountainous view
are very beautiful. Love the weathered
look of it, too. ~Bon
