Wow, the smaller cars are traveling at a high rate of speed in the train video. Paul

LACMA...and as a big backer of LACMA...it is a Campus, and calls itself a campus for a reason...7 large buildings...with a rotating of the good and the weird....lol

Nice train & car set.
Where did you find it?

Thanks, Jim, Hummm...I'm glad somebody watched them....lol.

My family is deeply evangelical, me not so much, and so I shoot this mainly for them...and yet years and years later, say I look at even a badly done video from 2005, it still give me great pleasure.

You should try to shoot some....if only to tuck it away for later. I do try to keep my video's about a minute long, two at most...otherwise I lose people's interest. I know these are longer...but they are also for me.

These are not, I admit, very good...but you have prompted me to look at night/dark interior videos shot with the 15~85mm lens, these were shot with the supposedly better video lens...the 18~135mm

I'm not sure I see any difference....hummm

Maybe I need to go Sony...or become a better videographer....lol

I checked out the videos. The church is large and was quite full.
I just haven't taken many videos yet. I am still thinking on the when and where - and how to mix them with stills.

The last video is certainly fun. It looks the the dancers are from Hawaii. Very mixed media - something I don't get to see much.

Sounds like a good evening, not at all odd.
Re Church - sounds like you may have received a good message.
Re Dorthy Chandler - sounds like it was a fun time. And I hope it was a good dinner. Were these new friends? It is nice to be with others at this time of the year; and you succeeded.

It was an odd evening, especially considering that I had no idea beforehand what I was going to do...I tried going to the 3pm opening of Los Angeles County Holidays at the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion, first....but the line was 2 hours long, (first come, first seated), so I instead ended up at a 4pm Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral....I wept like a baby (oddly enough for a non-religious person...surrounding families kindly passed me tissue throughout the services)...the Roman Church has always moved me, as opposed to my Evangelical family...my only regret was not participating in the Eucharist...though I have not done so for 60 years, I still thought of partaking in the body and blood of Christ even without having been to confession in a similar length of time....(and I haven't been to confession for good reasons...lol!!!!)

Be that as it may, my parking meter had expired at 5pm and you know, and I know and God knows that in Los Angeles, Christmas Eve or no, the LA Parking Dept was eager to slap tickets on any and sundry windshields...so I dashed out into the cold windy street amid my continuing flood of tears and sniffles...

But I put more money in my meter and wandered back up to the Music Center, stopping here and there to wish well to everyone with a smile a handshake or a hug, and then back into the Dorthy Chandler, meeting scores of other people, some of whom took me to dinner afterwards.

It was good.

Three videos from the Cathedral and one from the Dorthy Chandler...first three deeply religious and the last...just kind of fun. The reason for all the steady cams moving around is that this was being broadcast live on PBS and demonstrating the vast diversity of Los Angeles.

Now this is super. A very nice portrayal of a great evening - Almost Christmas.
And the 4-square is nicely done.

Looks like you attended a Christmas Eve mass at the church, saw two performances and participated in the "Meet & Greet". Maybe not in that particular order since mass is commonly at midnight.... But now that I think of the schedule you like to keep it could be in that order. Never less you had a busy evening.
