3ed: Freeze Warning

Green Valley, AZ

Even some of the tender cactus need some help.
The general rule of thumb is to cover the growth tip of new plants for the first few years.

Paul & Traveller - thanks for the comments. I'll try to post something later today in pending showing a naked cactus.

Re reds - certainly bright, but hopefully not hot. The histogram was ok. And I also then desaturated the reds a bit. Note this was taken in the late afternoon with a low angle sun directly on the subject. I was looking east, and hence the really blue sky.

Is that why they do that?? When we visited I remember seeing numerous cacti with the hats on them but I thought it was homeowners being festive for the holidays. The reds might be a touch hot but other than that it's a fantastic entry. Exactly what I think of when negative or empty space comes to mind. Paul

Is this true? How interesting....a very creative use of Negative Space...though I'd be curious what this looks like without the Santa hat. Best Wishes, Traveller
