Fun in the Lake

Boulder, CO

I used the DXO Filmpack Rollei Retro 80s conversion for this, and tweaked it in LR. It's a new fine-grained B&W film. Since I'm never going to shoot film again, this is the closest I'll get to trying it. And the lens is the newer STM version, which isn't listed as a choice. I just got it to replace my broken 24-105L.

Alastair - my "good eye" is only the result of always correcting mine. I never seem to get things consistently level, so I have forced myself to always check. I still forget on occasions.

Thanks Jim. Good eye. I went back into LR and rotated it by +0.88 (I don't know whether that's degrees). I think that fixed it.

Great shot.
Check the horizon, though.

I love the framing in this as well. Nice work!

Very nice! I like the way you used the leaves to frame the shot ... and how the faded mountains in the background add depth! IMHO the 18-135mm STM lens is an outstanding lens and a wonderful bargain ... and you made good use of it here! - Ken
