Snoqualmie Falls - Snoqualmie, WA

In the pacific northwest, there is simply a sea of green at this time of year. I noticed this one red leaf, pulled the camera around to look at it, and came up with this composition. I really love the balance of it, and it's definitely not a rule of thirds shot.

I like this. Nice control of exposure and DOF. Though slightly tempted to crop off the bit of out of focus branch/grass coming out of the bottom.

Nice soft colours in the background and, as you say, not a rule of thirds composition, so well suited for the challenge. Regards, Michael
