Macavity's Passport

Secret Hideout

Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macacity,
There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity.
He always has an alibi, or one or two to spare:
And whatever time the deed took place
--MACAVITY WASN'T THERE!
And they say that all the Cats
whose wicked deeds are widely known
(I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone)
Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time
Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime!

From Macavity: The Mystery Cat, Poem by T.S. Elliot.

I have made the same switch, but from a 7D. The last of my Canon gear is on EBay now. I had no problem with Canon, except that my 7D, 100-400, 15-85, plus a flash, in a backpack, took my carry on baggage to 7 + Kg.
Now my OM-D, 12-50, 100-300 and 9-18 in a much smaller bag weighs about 3 Kg. I still have to get an external flash though.
Actually, I don't feel as though I have sacrificed much, except that the buttons on the OM-D are small and some of them are badly located. Regards, Michael

Thanks Traveller, much appreciated. The camera is very promising, it's my third serious attempt to lighten my travel bag by eliminating my 5D2 and Lens collection. But it's very stressful because one gives up so much in exchange for better mobility. Regards, -Najinsky

Nice Camera, apparently...I had to look it up...otherwise, do I need to tell you how...just wonderful this is? No need to carry coals to Newcastle...superb in conception and execution.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks Michael, appreciated. It sometimes happens that the previous challenge gives some ideas that carry over to the next. Regards, -Najinsky

Thanks shu. I think you got that comment out before I'd even finished posting! He's very difficult to catch with his eyes fully open and his ears upright. I was just testing a lens with my new camera and there he was, offering his annual millisecond of cooperation. Regards, -Najinsky
