Paul - thanks for the original comment that pushed me here. I have never really played with high key before. When I see other high key shots, I know which I like, and which I don't - but I really have not been able to say "why".
But I do I like this one.
I may try some others now just for the heck of it.

Great high key/contrast shot. I prefer this over the fist pic of the Daffodil.
Have mixed thoughts about the pitch black stem, one on hand it adds a constrasting dimension but then it seems to really stand out and pull focus from other parts of the shot.
