The only commercial steam-operated sawmill in Canada. The mill was operated my R B McClean and his
three sons from 1926 to 1965, and is typical of the remote coastal lumber camps and sawmills of the
20th century. It is now a National Historic Site to commemorate the history of logging and sawmills
in British Columbia.
