Sneem, on the Ring of kerry, in County Kerry. The Irish name of the town, “An tSnaidhm”,
means “The Knot” in English, perhaps originating from the knot-like swirling that occurs
where the Sneem river meets the currents of Kenmare Bay in the estuary just below the village.
