Enviromental melt down

The 45gram (1.6oz) Easter egg is packaged in foil, then in a plastic holding case and then in a cardboard box, we all know what packaging the banana needs. I work on packaging machines every day and I know what a massive multi million pound industry it is.It begs the question, do we have the will to change?

...and the banana is much better for you than the sweet chocolate in the Easter eggs!

a great comparison, excellent V

Excellent image, the composition and lighting are really well done. Bananas have perfected the protection versus easy access issue.

Poor environment :(
Excellent presentation.

This is excellent! We can learn a lot from bananas, I've always said so....

Great image.
Here we have a tax on plastic shopping bags which I think is a great idea. We pay to have our rubbish collected yet the manufacturers keep creating more and more packaging and we are the ones who have to dispose of it.

Nice juxtapositional shot. Packaging in Natural and Artifical forms.

I doubt it with cross contamination concerns. Good topic for discussion.

Very good thought here! You are right out of the box we should not eat at all! V.

ahhhh, I just struggled to get a compact flash out of the moulded packaging!!!
I like the comp, Kevin, the chocolate is very tempting, however a banana is too!!

Great idea Kevin! Excellent lighting and compo!
As much as I love chocolate, I don't think that Bart Simpson's chocolate would pass the taste test. But, I do love bananas, and would love to have one right now!
LynnH16-Mar-2010 12:06
Well, if Bart Simpson recommends... then...
Seriously, this is a very clever and well conceived idea for your entry. Unfortunately, the global economy creates a need to ship products long distances. Might be better to shop for local products with more conservative packaging. Kevin, This is super work!
