The Rainbow Lorikeet, Trichoglossus haematodus is a species of Australasian parrot found in Australia along the along the eastern seaboard, from Queensland to South Australia and northwest Tasmania and in the South West Pacific.
Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas.
Their intense colours have patches of emerald green, orange midnight blue, dull blue, ruby red, lemon yellow, purple, violet greenish grey.
Surprisingly enough this colourful bird can be hard sometimes to pick out in its natural habitat. See below.
