11 Limes

Melbourne, Australia

Lime have their origin in the Himalayan region of India.
They are providing a good source of vitamin C.

I use the lime when I fry Tofu and onions based dishes.

Great source of vitamin C. Used by ships captains to keep scurvey away. That's why british sailors got the name Limey.

Limes, can't live without them. Use them for cooking, making condiments and in drinks. They're very cheap here, 10 for a $1.

Lovely greens. Limes are excellent for the health of the kidneys I've been told.

One more for a G&T. And to prove I can be a total idiot at times I was thinking there were eight limes missing. I'll be all right, I hope, maybe....

I'll join Doug on this one. Nothing better than an ice cold gin and tonic with a squeeze of lime. A favorite libation after a long day of work!

Beautiful, an integral part of Southwestern (Tex-Mex) cookimg in the US.
Pico de Gallo: chopped roughly equal parts, (to my taste), of onion, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, cilantro: add finely chopped garlic, salt, black pepper and lime juice to taste.

I like limes best when they're swimming around the ice cubes in a large gin and tonic :o))) Lovely green shot Mieke - I can taste the tang from here!
