eew.. i have a complex about those trees. i can't quite remember why, but it stems (haha) way back to my early childhood. i think bree either told me that i'd get some wierd disease if i touched one, or that they have little bugs that would fall on me. either way, i always walked the long way around them.

I like it, they look like little scrolls.

I have the same problem while driving, the roads around here all have these deep narrow drainage ditches along the sides of the road. Top that off with grass that grows up up making it look flat and an unwary driver will need a tow truck before they know it!

Great photo though! I've never seen a tree like this. The bark looks like chocolate shavings.
