Raymond Duchamp-Villon created several versions of this machine-like bronze of a large horse in 1914,
It is one of the most important Cubist sculptures. HIs horse with monumental forms, is half abstract and almost appears to be in motion.
I liked the pose of the little girl who was so intent on her book, and who seems to echo the forms of the sculpture.
