During the blitz of swansea, I spent the nights of February 19th, 20th, 21st, 1941 with my mother at the old Rectory. her friend being the wife of the Rector.
Althogh very young, I still remember the bedroom with its oil lamp, and the vast expanse of the beach and sea visible from the bedroom window.
