The Stellar Sea Lion in the Western United States is on the US Endangered Species List.

The brand on the one sea lion was put on by the Parks Services to track these animals migratory habits. Nevertheless, these are animals in the wild. BTW, that particular sea lion came from a wild colony far outside the Kenai Fjords area. So Stellar Seal Lions will migrate far distances and change colonies.
