Easter Cactus 4-03-24

Unnamed Pink

Starting to close up for the night.

****************

Easter Cactus (Rhipsalidopsis), or Spring Cactus, bloom in many cheery colors and the flowers arrive in profusion (depending on the variety) from March until May. Their star-shaped blooms open at sunrise and close at sunset and overall last for days to weeks. Easter Cacti are native epiphytes and grow in the upper story of the trees in the forests of eastern Brazil. Or at our house, in a pot on the kitchen counter.
