The Country Club a few miles from us puts on a Memorial Day weekend fireworks display for their members. Originally, we could sit on our back deck and watch them. However, over the years, the trees we planted grew larger and larger and larger and now almost totally block the view. Because I had no intention to photograph this event (or even remembered that it might happen), I just grabbed a Bridge Camera and fired off a few handheld shots.
This Country Club is by invitation only exclusive. I've been told that if you ask "how much" the membership may cost, then, you absolutely can't afford it.
Shooting fireworks handheld with a tiny sensor bridge camera is a totally different ball game than using a DSLR on a tripod. Shooting through the branches of fully leafed-out trees is also an interesting experience.
But it's another memory from another holiday. Life is made up of memories. Some we are able to capture as an image. Others we just hold in our hearts.

I was standing in our back doorway to photograph the above image.
