Survivor 2013

Marigold in the House

The story starts here http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/139319297

Fall of 2011, I took Patricia's advice and brought the poor little, almost dead Marigold into the house.

I had originally planted this marigold plant on my deck in the Spring of 2010.
You can see the above story of how it survived until mid November 2011 when I again brought it indoors where it has been every since.

Surprisingly however, the Marigold blossom now looks totally different in 2013 than when I rescued this plant two Falls ago.
Somehow, it went from a frilly blossom to a plain one. Since I only potted up one Marigold, this definitely is the same plant. Combine this with my now getting orange flowers on my Pink Kalanchoe plant http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/148352304.
I really wonder what the plants in my Solar Room are doing genetically. Strange things seem to be happening.
