Skipper

Montz, Louisiana

I thought I would try shooting butterflies. Not as easy as I thought and not too happy with my first one except for the color.

I think you got it beautifully. I have yet to capture a butterfly. This one looks like an angel statue, almost.

Impossibly difficult. I think you're supposed to catch them and put them in the refrigerator for a few minutes to slow them down. Amazing you were able to get this close.

Great capture. Skippers are almost impossible to catch still. And you even got this with his wings outspread. You must have a fast shutter finger. :)

You have this D70 playing the way you want it to, Bre. So clear

I think it's pretty darn good for your first try. I could barely see it--don't think I could take a photo of it.

The skipper has a beautiful shade of green.

You caught this skipper better than I can. They're really fast. I love the way you caught the color.

Breland, I tried to catch one like this the other day. I couldn't get close. Sneak Gayle's 300 mm and try. This shot looks good to me.
