Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner

Kenner, Louisiana

Gayle and I were able to ride around the Kenner area this afternoon. This is the Treasure Chest Casino, she is docked at the end of Williams Blvd in Lake Pontchartrain. She floats, has engines but never leaves the dock.

From the thumb, I hoped it was a real, working riverboat! There are all sorts of casinos floating like this on the Missouri and Miss rivers, aren't there? I was born in Kentucky, on the banks of the Ohio river, and used to ride the Belle of Louisville. These paddlewheelers have a special place in my heart.
