Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge RR

Try at B/W in sepia, it seems to loose some contrast, here is a similar one in color,

Canon EOS 20D
1/160s f/6.3 at 28.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

This is a great landscape, we don't have this here but narrow gauge steam trains we also have! I'm a fan from colors an so the color version is my favorite!

Fantastic Shots - Love the B&W suits the subject very well

A very nice shot Bob. I prefer the b&w, with that old train, it looks like an old picture. And thank you for your comment for "Ambiance Quebecoise", I really appreciate it!
Best regards
Guy

Impressive. The stuff you don't see every day.

Excellent image Bob, this image really shows the ruggedness of the area and I bet the track layers had fun...

The photos and the scene are so nice, I'd even like it in purple. If forced, I'd go with the sepia due to the age of the engine and the cars.
I also wonder how you got to the outer edge, past the train, to take the shot.

Great shot! Actually hard to decide. The sepia is timeless, eh?

I prefer color anytime

I'll give the sepia shot a slight edge Bob. It fits this beautiful scene perfectly. Sa ndy

The sepia/bw really suits though both are wonderful.

Both are good Bob, but I prefer the sepia, it looks like it could have been taken in the 19th century. :-)

Excellent, prefer color

Love that trip. I like them both, and in this case sepia is the better one.
Kathy Pedersen03-Mar-2006 18:04
Ah, yes I remember the color version well. I must say I love sepia better, it really does suit the style of this train. Still, both images are wonderful and a fantastic POV!

Both are great. I really like the sepia. Seems to suit the train style.
