10th - "Scream Thy Last Scream"

Bates Motel, AZ

(non-album, non-released song from 1967)

Nothing much to say about this really - SP with hand-held off-camera Speedlight to the left of the shot highlighting my (cough!) redeeming (ahem!) features...fired via self-timer on remote release cable. Imported into CS3, two duplicate layers made, one with a blend mode of Screen at 100% opacity and 20% Gaussian blur, t'other with Multiply blend mode at approx 70% opacity with Noise Ninja NR (I *think*, I can't exactly remember now!!). Each had a B&W clipping mask applied, one was High Contrast Blue Filter, the other was....damn, can't remember that either! Anyhoo, I twiddled around with the two layers until I got the desired effect; flattened the image and resized for the Web...umm, that's about it - simples really, about 30 mins work while the fish fingers, peas and spuds cooked :o)

Looks like we have both been in the dark lately Doug. The dark and blur work extremely well. V

Sheila10-Nov-2009 08:39
Were you screaming because you were having fish fingers? :-)
Suitably apt for the title and as always your commentary has me laughing.
