I had a bit of a problem with my graphics card last week - it melted, but I was able to rectify the situation with a large mallet and a pair of BIG pliers, and a friend loaned me a spare card so I was up and running after a minimum of fuss.
Just as I was about to crush the now-defunct card to dust I noticed a (purposefully) twisted ribbon cable! "Ah HAAAA", I cried! "You're spared this time, you feeble bit of IT! Now, smile for the camera, or this time I really WILL dispatch you to the great nVidia colony in the sky"
