He's Got Dinner All (Un)wrapped Up

Cheltenham, Glos

There's no way I'm cooking tonight - it's as much as I could to do get this puppy out of the fridge and onto the plate! The squeezing of the ketchup took some doing, I can tell you!

I make no excuse for tonight's tea - up at 05:00, a twelve working hour day with three sandwiches at 13:00, and not so much as a cup of decent tea to be had anywhere...harumph!

Tuesday 22nd's "I've had precious little food all day and I haven't got the energy to be creative in the kitchen" entry to September's Challenge; for other Pbasers with a lot more culinary zap than me tonight click here

Congratulations for shooting this roll before you devoured it!

It is amazing how you have made such a mundane dish look so good - mind can't help feeling we would deep fry it up here, just to give it full 'lard attack' potential
Cindi Smith23-Sep-2009 19:29
Looks good to me....I had 5 teaspoons of peanut butter for dinner last night!
Walter Otto Koenig23-Sep-2009 14:45
Great shot with this lighting and focus. Very nicely composed too. The ketchup drops are a nice touch.

Only one sausage roll!?

Making the ordinary look extraordinary is "Art".

Your gonna burn that off in an hour... at midnight you'll be up raiding the fridge...at 2am looking for bi-carb to ease the heartburn !!

I envy you this nicely presentated tasty sausage roll! I looks so delicoius and I'm in the same situation: no creativity today... Great close-up! v

Very artistic Doug, like those artfully placed ketchup drops.

Brings to mind the words from 'Fog on the Tyne' by Lindisfarne....

Sittin' in a sleazy snack-bar
Suckin' sickly sausage rolls
Slippin' down slowly, slippin' down sideways
Think I'll sign off the dole

So super human effort to shoot picture first and then eat!
Did you consider a creative display of crumbs?
Does look appetizing

Now you know why the spider wraps up to! :) I know the feeling, sometimes on the road, after walking for 3-4 hours, I'll eat anything that's not moving in the truck's cooler.

That's the sort of meal preparation I can cope with!!
Kevin Chester22-Sep-2009 17:59
