Hilltop Vista

Leckhampton Hill, Cheltenham view map

The first day of the green phase of the challenge, and the sun comes out over Cheltenham - warm sun, green fields, blue skies and fluffy clouds...how much more like Spring could it get?

It's taken a beating this year. Well composed. Love the mystery in the valley.

Good work in focusing on the yellow buds and thoughts of spring.

Gorse, furze or whins: whatever you call them they are lovely and starting to get plentiful here too.
Stewart Mitchell22-Feb-2009 16:37
So Spring has sprung with you??.....still a month or so away here!! The nicely limited DoF lends an atmosphere of mystery here :-)

I noticed the little flowers starting to show through last week, not long before the hillsides are a carpet of yellow.

Signs of spring. Well focused and nice shallow depth of field.

Great shallow dof, nice to see the gorse in bloom.
