Rural Wreck

near Alstone, Glos. view map

Can't decide if this rather dilapidated old combine harvester stuck in a field in the backwoods is yellow or green...I think therefore that it makes a rather good yellow-to-green transition photo for the monthly challenge; for others feeling colourful this month click here

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Ideal shot for the transition...looks like its been there a while, typical
of farmers here too.
Russ Rose22-Feb-2009 06:00
Nice image. Combine could be anywhere and could represent farming anywhere in the world. Nicely done.

It might not be a wreck - it would probably start right up. Farmers often store equipment like this out in the field. This machine looks like it is in pretty good shape, at least the glass is intact. Nice shot!

You may call it a wreck, but I wouldn't want to get in its way!
Nice bit of fettling, really brings it to the fore :)

Very nice Doug. I like the way it is looming over the viewer as if it about to attack. The sky contrasts nicely. Lots of details and great processing. "V"

Limey yellow. Looks great with HDR

Well being a Claas it should be green, but time and weather have definitely put a yellow tinge to it so it is a perfect transition shot. Endless hours of photo fun too...rust/abstracts..... :)
