Image of waxing crescent moon made with Canon 7d camera and
Canon EF 400 mm f/5.6L USM lens + EF 1.4X II Extender +
Canon EF 2X II Extender which results in a 1120 mm f/16 lens.
Wimberly Sidekick gimbal mount used on Manfrotto 468MGRC2 ballhead
and Induro C414 tripod. Live View 10X used for manual focusing
although AF is possible in Live View with this configuration.
Silent Shooting Mode 1 was used to eliminate vibration which would
otherwise be an issue with the first curtain of the mechanical
focal plane shutter.
The largest size view is 50% scale of the captured image.
