here is my wonderful partner, Beverly. On a clear day you would see both Badwater and Mt, Whitney--the lowest and highest spots in the lower 48
states. Here, Badwater is in the salt flat near the road; Whitney is on the horizon behind the clouds. We glimpsed it before the clouds lowered.
