All that's left of the Clanton Ranch is this lone standing adobe wall. (The Clantons and the Earps had the shootout at the O.K. Corral.)
We parked at the San Pedro House and began walking on the San Pedro Trail across Highway 90. There's only one sign announcing the ranch is in the area and that is at Murray Springs Kill Site.
Once we crossed the stream at Murray Springs, we continued along following the barbed wire fence and took a right turn when we saw the first opening in the fence.
We walked about 100 yards on the side trail toward the San Pedro River. Off to the left on the top of a knoll we spotted the adobe wall.
There are some other building ruins beside the adobe wall but I have no information about its history.
The San Pedro is a flat trail and easy to walk with the total roundtrip being 7.2 miles. If you want to just see the ruins, you could park at the Murray Springs parking lot and walk in.
A very worthwhile and enjoyable hike.
