Walk the Roadrunner Trail and you'll come to the base of Panther Peak. As recently as 50 years ago many panthers roamed this area. Today you'll see roadrunners and javelinas as you walk along a flat but rocky trail.
It's a loop trail so once you get to the peak you can walk in Panther Wash on back to the parking lot.
I'd recommend doing this when it cools down.
