Hidden Valley Inn

4825 N. Sabino Canyon Rd.

The Hidden Valley Inn closed its doors on February 18, 2006 after serving Tucson for 65 years. The building will be remodeled to become corporate headquarters for a local social services agency.
The Hidden Valley goes back to the 1940s serving beer and burgers but under an original name that seems to be lost to history. In the 1950s it became a German restaurant and then in 1977 it was restored to its Western theme and named the Hidden Valley Inn. A 1995 fire destroyed the restaurant but it was able to reopen 3 years later.
The 3 photos shown here were taken on Sunday morning, the day after the first auction, hence the numbers you see on items.

Much of the window framing and wood trim had already been removed from the exterior on the weekend of the auction.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Do you know what items survived to be auctioned off? I'm Larry Colligan's son (Larry Colligan Jr.).

Hi Jay,
My guess is that someone in the community became the lucky owner of them and they're now in private hands.

Do you know if the dioramas were preserved, sold or what? I am looking for at least some images of them for research purposes.
