Cisco is near Moab. Settled in 1887 it was originally a supply center for mining. Then at the turn of the century oil and gas were discovered in the area. Soon after that uranium, radium, and vanadium deposits were found nearby.
This was another location shoot for the movie "Thelma and Louise" and it's pretty much a ghost town today with a couple old rundown gas stations.
