University Heights School

1201 N. Park Ave.

This beautiful school was built during 1919-1920 after being approved in a bond election in 1917. It was built as a 2-classroom structure. Originally costing $8,984, it became an 18-classroom school over time. It was named for the University of Arizona neighborhood in which it was built.

The facility is currently being used as an apartment complex.
The entire building has an outer walkway with a beautiful grassy area in the center....now home to swimming pools.

On the National Register of Historic Places and the Arizona State Register of Historic Places
