Designed by Josias Joesler, it was unique in that parking was planned in the back and it was one of Tucson's first shopping centers.

I recently met the gentleman who purchased the complex and is very interested in finding out the original colors that were used. He's taking great pains to take it back to its original look. Wish there were more owners like that out there. Since I was the previous post-er who completed the Joessler data base, I think Joessler would be happy to know his work is still loved by many in our community.

I just helped complete a data base for Joesler's work for the university's architectural archives and the original plans for this complex are included. Those old plans are beautiful pieces of artwork, though the old blueprints sure are stinky!
