April Scavenge Hunt Challenge: zeitgeist (ger.)
I'm not sure that this strictly follows the meaning of "zeitgeist" but it does reflect the outlook of 1860 which was to have ornately decorated churches. This church also has beautiful tin walls and ceilings. In contrast, today's churches are more minimalist, more functional than decorative.
Notice how the glass has changed over the years. Some panes are darker than others. It's held up pretty good over the years and is surprisingly air-tight considering that the windows are not secured with anything other than their weight.
