We arrived on Kulusuk Island on the morning of 25 June after a two-hour flight on an Air Iceland Fokker 50 turbo-prop from Reykajvik. This shot was taken from outside the Kulusuk airport looking across the Tuno channel. The mountains in the distant background (the ones with the snowfield on top) are on the mainland. The mountains on the right are on another island. The airport is on Kulusuk Island because it has the only flat land around these parts. From here we had to transfer to Tasiilaq by helicopter. Note the two passengers sunning themselves on the rocks in the bottom right hand corner whilst waiting for the chopper to arrive.
