Portrait of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna by Louis Tocque, 1758. Four years before she died.
It hangs in the Romanov Gallery of the Winter Palace.
Elizabeth Petrovna was a daughter of Peter the Great and ruled Russia from 1741 to 1762.
This is the woman who spent all that money on Rastrelli designs at the Winterpalace, Peterhof and Tsarkoye Selo.
The small size is because of the noise of a pushed ISO1600 photo, cropped, colors may be inaccurate.
The highlights at the side are a result of the windows in this gallery.
