Rebuilding history

There's no point trying to ignore all the scaffolding around the Parthenon in Greece, and the only way to photograph this historic monument without it is to come back in a couple of years' time!

Yep, not much you can do. So how did they build these things without all that heavy equipment? Amazing to see the engineering, artistry and scale of these structures that were built so long ago.

It's probably the same crane! I was hoping that all the construction work would be complete by now, but I guess restoring this landmark is a delicate operation.
