Winter scene from Kaukajärvi, Haihara.
This winter has been so weird! It's January and we haven't got snow in Southern Finland.
It's rainy and windy - and the weather is very warm compared to this image taken in January 2018.
I guess the only way to find real winter is to travel to Lapland where my younger granddaughter recently moved. I'll have a great base to chase the aurora.

Beautiful capture with the bright red against all that white. I find it worrisome to hear you haven't had snow in southern Finland. Something is definitely wrong, not just there but everywhere. V.

striking contrast, and overall a very pretty scene...strange you have no snow this winter...even in coastal Vancouver the snow is coming down at the moment..
